Would you like to use a local academic library such as Mullins Library at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville? ARKLink is a program where Arkansas academic libraries agree to share resources. Through ARKLink, NWACC faculty, students, and staff have limited borrowing privileges at many academic libraries across the state of Arkansas.
To obtain an ARKLink card, present your NWACC college ID at the Library's circulation desk. After a short registration process, you will receive an ARKLink card and a list of participating libraries. For more information stop by the library or visit the ARKLink website.
Please note: To reduce the risk of financial liability, ARKLink privileges are extended only to NWACC students, faculty, and staff who have established a responsible borrowing history at NWACC Library. You must have checked out and returned on time at least one item from the Library to qualify for an ARKLink card.
Library materials may be borrowed by current NWACC students and employees. You must present an NWACC ID card at the time of check out to borrow an item from the library. Loan periods vary by item type and are listed below. If you would like to renew a borrowed item, log into your account. You also can renew items by contacting the Library. We will extend your check-out period unless there is a hold on the item or you have renewed it already.

| Book | 15 total
| 21 days |
| Videos, Audio CDs,CD-ROMs | 5 total | 7 days |
| Math Multimedia | 2 total

The Library's Course Reserves service allows faculty and instructors to make recommended or required course materials in a variety of formats available to their students. Textbooks may be available if provided by the instructor.
These materials are held at the reference desk with limited checkout times to allow all students in a particular course to share the materials equitably. A complete description of the Library's course reserves policy is available on the Course Reserves page.
Can't find the article or book you need at the library or on one of the research databases? NWACC Library will borrow books and journal articles that we do not own from other libraries. This service is provided for current students, faculty, and staff with a current NWACC ID card. Place requests using our Interlibrary Loan Request Form. If you have any problems, making a request please contact the Library at 479-619-4244 or library@nwacc.edu.
Typically, it takes about two or three weeks for requests to be processed. When the requested item is available for checkout at the NWACC Library, you will be notified through NWACC email. For students, the first 3 loan requests per semester are provided at no cost. There is a fee of $3 for each additional request. The individual borrower is responsible for any overdue fines and the cost of lost or damaged items.
Please note: To reduce the risk of financial liability, Interlibrary loan privileges are extended only to NWACC students, faculty, and staff who have established a responsible borrowing history at NWACC Library. You must have checked out and returned on time at least one item from the Library to use our interlibrary loan service.
Need to print out a homework assignment for class? NWACC Library provides a black-and-white and a color printer for student use. A printing account balance of $5.00 is given on a per-semester basis to each student at NWACC. You may use this balance in the Library, Academic Success Center, Writing Center, and Intensive English Lab. After this initial amount has been exhausted, you can make payments in cash or check at the Library's Circulation Desk to extend your printing balance. The printing cost is $.05 per black-and-white page and $.50 per color page. When prompted for a username and password, enter the same login information you use to access My NWACC Connection. To learn more about printing on campus, review the PaperCut FAQ.
Two self-service, coin-operated copy machines are located along the north wall near the Library's Circulation Desk. Copies are $.10 per page.
NWACC Library has 23 computers available for public use. Each computer includes Internet access, Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access), and printer connectivity. Computers are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, if every computer is in use, preference will be given to students using the computers for academic purposes. Computer usage must be in accordance with state and federal copyright laws as well as NWACC's code of acceptable student conduct.
NWACC Library has two study rooms. The Multimedia Room is equipped with a table, TV with DVD/VHS player, computer, scanner, and white board. This room comfortably seats groups of 6 - 8. The Small Study Room has a table, TV with DVD/VHS player, and comfortably seats groups of 2 or 3.
Since only two study rooms are available, use by individuals is limited. Single users may sign up to use either room, but if the multimedia room is requested, individuals may be asked to move to another area if a group needs the space. Study rooms may be reserved for a maximum of 3 hours per day. Reservations for study room use are recommended but not required. You can request a study room on a walk-in basis but be aware that both rooms are often in use for much of the day. Study rooms may be scheduled up to one month in advance.
To reserve a study room, call the Library at 479-619-4244, email library@nwacc.edu, or stop by the reference desk. We'll need your name, NWACC ID number, the date and time needed, and the number of people in your group. If you have a room preference, please include this information in your request. Out of consideration for others who may wish to use the room, do not request more time than you'll need. When you arrive at the Library, stop by the reference desk so the staff member on duty can verify your reservation and let you into the room. If you do not arrive within 15 minutes of your reservation start time, the Library reserves the right to make the study room available to other students. When you are finished with your study room, please stop back by the reference desk and let the staff member know you're leaving.
