Tips for Faculty

Teaching Information Literacy - Schedule an instructional session on information literacy with our librarians, and we'll teach your students to effectively search our collection, databases, and other resources. Visit our Information Literacy page to access tools for use in the classroom, including research tips, citation help, and video tutorials.

Accessing our Databases -
When accessing our Research Databases off campus, enter your My NWACC Connection username and password when prompted.

Linking to Database Content - It's possible to place direct links to specific articles, videos, and other database content in Blackboard course sites and email. Read our handy Permalinks Guide for detailed instructions.

Finding Journal Titles - If you want to know if the Library has a specific journal title in our collection, use our Journals A-to-Z search tool. To access titles off campus, enter your My NWACC Connection username and password when prompted.
