NWACC Honors Program Requirements for Admission


Eligibility requirements:

Incoming students:  23 ACT or 90 COMPASS (reading)

Current students:  3.5 GPA (based on 12 non-developmental (non-remedial) credit hours at NWACC)  


Please submit the following documents to:

(Mail or hand deliver to Burns Hall room 2224)

  • Cover letter requesting admission into the program
  • Application of Admission
  • Letter of recommendation from a faculty member (see note below)

Letters of recommendation do NOT have to be submitted with the other materials; they may be sent separately by the recommender.

Current NWACC students:  request a letter of recommendation from one of your NWACC professors who is familiar with your work. Ask the professor to place their letter in a sealed envelope with their signature across the back seal. Alternatively, the professor can email their recommendation directly to the Director.  NWACC faculty may also use the recommendation form available on the K drive in the Honors folder.

Incoming freshmen:  request your letter from a high school faculty member or speak to the Director about alternatives.


Applications for admission into the Program are accepted throughout the year.
