Benton County College Fair 2016

Monday, September 12th
5pm - 8pm
The Benton County College Fair will be held on Monday, September 12 from 5:00-8:00pm. All students in Benton County are invited to attend! There is NO COST

50+ Colleges and Universities state-wide will be in attendance to discuss higher education options with students. The fair will be located at the Shewmaker Center on the NWACC (Northwest Arkansas Community College) campus in Bentonville.

Students are strongly encouraged to Pre-Register for the event before September 12th by visiting GoToCollegeFairs.com. Pre-registered students will receive a printable registration barcode which will allow them to quickly and easily request college information from all institutions at the college fair.

Trying to decide whether or not to attend NWACC? - The best visit type for those seeking general information and wanting to learn about the enrollment process is an Admissions Session. During an admissions session students sit down with and enrollment specialist to discuss the enrollment process, financial aid, degree requirements and more. You are invited to participate in a campus tour immediately following the admission session. The admissions session takes approximately one hour.

Come visit us at the Northwest Arkansas Community College booth at Bentonville's monthly First Friday event, where you can obtain information on our programs, the enrollment process, and federal financial aid.

New Student Orientation (required for Freshmen)

For newly admitted first-time college students, Orientation is the first step toward earning their degree where students receive valuable information on starting college. They also get personalized assistance in selecting their first semester classes and times. Other topics covered include:

  • Understanding how to select college classes and times
  • Tips on balancing school, work, and personal time as a new student
  • Essential info on financial aid
  • Understanding NWACC degree options
  • Opportunities to get involved on campus
  • Various other NWACC services

Important: Students must have been accepted and submitted full ACT/COMPASS placement scores before signing up for Orientation.

NWACC Senior Day 2017

March 2017

High school seniors who are considering NWACC to have fun and learn more about their interests should attend the annual NWACC Senior Day. High school students will get a change to talk to faculty and staff from the academic department they are interested in, speak to club advisors, meet current students, learn more about NWACC and see the campus. One student in attendance will win a free class. Lunch will be provided. There is no cost for this event however students MUST REGISTER because space is limited.
