Job Description and Qualifications:

The NWACC Art Department is seeking a Work Study student who is hard-working, organized,  HIGHLY  self-motivated, dependable, and personable.  The student must have computer skills and experience with MAC computers. We need someone who understands the position and does not need constant reminding of the basic duties which are:

·         Student will be required to work with the Fine Art (painting, drawing, etc ) and Graphic Design areas. 

·         Student will maintain the art studios and storerooms (supplies, equipment) by keeping all the shelves and counter tops neat , organized, and wiped clean.

·         Maintain the art history storeroom near the art history room, 1152.  Keep it organized.

·         Must be able to work during the week, not just a Friday afternoon cleanup.

·         Continually check the dirt/dust level on all surfaces in the studio classrooms.  Must wipe down shelves, cabinets, table tops.

·         Help maintain the adjunct art office helping it stay organized.

·         Update MAC computers in both the Graphic Design homework lab and classroom.  Also help maintain the photography lab (keeping it clean and supplies in order.)

·         Help with Art Shows (one in December, one in April).

·         Help all art professors as needed (hanging artwork in gallery hallway, or a specific need, etc).

·         Work study needs knowledge of photography and darkroom equipment or be willing to be trained on how to best maintain the darkroom.

Job Duties

This is a work study position for the Department of Public Safety. Applicants must be eligible for financial aid. Work hours are flexible with students class scheduled during the hours of 9am to 4pm.

Job Duties include: Patrols parking areas for compliance with established college parking policy and regulations. Issues parking citations for violations as needed.
