Associate Director of Admissions and Advising
Hello! Welcome to the NWACC Admissions and Advising Office. I have been working at NWACC since 2010. I am originally from Guatemala and moved to Joplin, MO after graduating high school to earn a Bachelor's degree from Missouri Southern State University where I had the opportunity to study abroad twice. My favorite part of my job is helping students who are unfamiliar with the process of how to get started with college and help set them up for success. When I am not at work, I enjoy cooking and gardening with my husband. I look forward to working with you and help make your NWACC experience the best that it can be!

Hi! My name is Alaina Stroud and I've been working at NWACC for 5 years. I'll be earning my Associate of Arts degree from NWACC in May 2014, and plan to continue on to pursue my bachelor's degree. My favorite part of my job is being able to work directly with students, and help them find the resources they need to be able to attend college. Outside of work, I love to act in plays/shows with local groups and theaters. I can't wait to be a part of another production!

Hi! Welcome to the NWACC Admissions and Advising Office. I have been working at NWACC for three years and enjoy working with students who are about to start on their college career. I was a non-traditional student here at NWACC, starting college after 28 years out of High school so I am very familiar with the struggles students face. I completed my AAS in Computer Information Systems here at NWACC in December of 2013 and I am currently getting a BA in Organizational Management at John Brown University. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my teenagers, reading, knitting and raising English Bulldogs.

Hello, and welcome to Advising! I have been back working at NWACC for a little over a year now. About 10 years ago I was a work-study at NWACC in the Student Records office. Back in those days Student Records was on the second floor of Burns Hall. Shortly after I obtained my Associate of Arts here at NWACC. I then moved on to the University of Arkansas and completed a Bachelor's degree in journalism (Ad/PR emphasis). While doing so I started working in the Social Services field, which is where I developed a passion for helping others who truly want to better themselves and their situation. I then moved on to obtain a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Webster University. I am also passionate about the Fine Arts. When I am not at work I am spending time with my family, and it's quite possible to see me on stage acting in a production from time to time.
