F-1 students are allowed to work 20 hours or less on-campus at NWACC. If you are able to obtain a job then you must have this form signed by your new supervisor and then submitted to the International Programs office BEFORE you start working.
Curricular Practical Training
Once F-1 students have completed a full-year of study, they could be eligible for CPT which entails working on or off-campus as an internship for college credit. If interested, please complete and submit the following forms to the P/DSO.
The I-9 Form is needed if you wish to work on-campus or via a Curricular Practical Training Program.
The I-765 Form is needed if you wish to work off-campus or via an Operational Practical Training Program.
Operational Practical Training
Once F-1 students have graduated with an Associate's degree, they could remain in the United States for 1 full year (52 weeks) on OPT. If interested, please complete and submit the following forms to the P/DSO no earlier than 90 days before graduation and no later than 60 days after graduation.
