Transportation & Logistics Management

Logistics management is an integral part of a supply chain organization that plans, implements, and oversees the flow of goods and services between a point of origin and its intended destination. Businesses, both big and small, require personnel who can effectively manage inventory and accounts receivable.


Transportation and Logistics has been identified by the Northwest Arkansas Council as an area for targeted employment growth. With Northwest Arkansas being the home of several large transportation companies, there is a growing demand in the area for professionals in this field. Due to this demand, NorthWest Arkansas Community College is pleased to offer an Associate of Applied Science in Business – Logistics Management degree, which is a great option for students who wish to enter the workforce immediately after graduating from this two-year program.


NWACC's Logistics Management program emphasizes developing skills in supply chain management which includes procurement, transportation methods, supervision, warehouse management, and inventory control. The program also includes the development of basic business management skills, accounting principles, and the economics of supply and demand. 

Format and Location
Courses required for the Associate of Applied Science degree in Business – Logistics Management are available in two different formats.* Face-to-face course instruction is done inside the Shewmaker Global Business Development Center on the main NWACC campus in Bentonville. Many courses included in this program are also offered online, including the core classes required for the Logistics Management degree, providing you the convenience of learning when and where you want.
