World Civilization in Greece

Experience the richness of the ancient and modern Mediterranean world in this 14 day adventure. Walk in the footsteps of the ancients in Delphi and Athens, while you encounter the history and architecture of the classical world. Join in the buzzing energy of the market place in Greece's second largest city, Thessaloniki, while you experience the people and flavors of modern Greece. Swim in the azure blue Aegean Sea, and taste the fresh, sun-kissed cuisine.

Join NWACC World History Professor, Sevin Gallo, and partner schools, Northampton Community College and Harrisburg Area Community College in Pennsylvania and Howard Community College in Maryland. Space is limited for this once in a lifetime global adventure.

Program Fees

Approximately $3,667 includes:

  • Round trip air transportation (approximately $1,300)
  • Lodging & accommodations onsite
  • Admission to sites & attractions that are part of the program's curriculum
  • Project supplies and materials
  • Travel Health & Extraction insurance
  • Most Meals are covered

The Fee does not include

  • New passport application fees (if applicable)
  • Visa fee (if applicable)
  • Tuition and fees
    • 3 Hour World Civilization Course (Spring) or 1 Hour Global Studies Course (Summer)
  • 3-5 meals on your own
  • Optional excursions
  • Immediate medical expenses
  • Tips for meals purchased on own at a restaurant, or for a taxi or bus ride on own
  • Airport baggage fees (if applicable)
  • Personal purchases of gifts, food, or other pocket expenses/ incidentals

Students enroll in World Civilization Spring Course (3 credits) or World Civilization Summer Course (1 credit).  Community members may audit (AU) with permission of the instructor.
