NWACC's Science & Mathematics programs can move your natural curiosity into the research field, funnel your love for calculus into a professional career, or offer you advanced training to keep your career on track. Programs and courses include agriculture, environmental and regulatory science, astronomy, biology, chemistry, geology, math, physics and more.
Every spring, the Science & Mathematics Division also hosts the Northwest Arkansas Regional Science Olympiad on the college's campus. This rigorous academic competition includes engineering and building events as well as life and physical science contests.

NWACC's STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) curriculum includes
four specific disciplines in a blended learning environment.
Bio Tech
NWACC’s Biotechnology program allows hands-on experience in technology based on biology
and chemistry, especially pertinent to agriculture, food science, medicine, engineering,
and forensics. The local biotechnology industry is growing and in need of skilled
biotechnicians.

Join EMPACTS
EMPACTS is a college-level learning model that infuses project-based learning, cutting
edge technology, team work and community service across a broad curriculum. Join EMPACTS
and implement service learning projects with a curricular focus.
Science Olympiad
Students representing area schools and grades 6-12 participate in Northwest Arkansas Regional Science Olympiad at NWACC in the spring. This rigorous academic competition includes engineering and building events and life and physical science contests.
