Advising

Advising is one of the most important resources to utilize throughout your college experience. Be sure to make an appointment with an advisor to help you register for the courses that align with your educational goals and assist you with successfully navigating college.

At NWACC, you have two types of advisors:

  • Enrollment Services Advisor - This type of advisor helps you with the admissions process, records requests, financial aid and course recommendations for your first semester.
    • If this is your first time attending NWACC post-high school graduation, you must meet with an enrollment services advisor.

  • Division Advisor - This type of advisor helps you with course recommendations for your second semester through completion, transfer, graduation planning and internships.

How to Find Your Advisors

You can easily find an enrollment services advisor or a division advisor by searching Workday or ConexEd. View the helpful guide to learn how.

First-Time Student Orientation

NWACC's online orientation sets you up for success! It's your first step to registering for classes, and it's mandatory for all first-time college students. If this is your first-time as an NWACC college student (have a high school diploma or GED), you must complete orientation BEFORE meeting with an enrollment advisor. The earlier you complete orientation, the sooner you can register for your desired classes and obtain the schedule you want.
