Goldie's Grill Now Serving Burgers, Ice Cream and Floats at NWACC Bentonville Campus
On August 19, Goldie's Grill soft-opened at the Student Center Food Court at Northwest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) in Bentonville.
They served faculty and staff various food items such as burgers, shakes, floats, ice cream, and hot dogs. Before coming to NWACC, the crew of Goldie's Grill worked at the famous Susie Q Malt Shop in Rogers for 16 years, but the restaurant was closed in late May due to tornado damage.
Yet, despite the devastation, the crew’s passion for food and desire to serve their community members lived, which launched them to open a new restaurant.
“We enjoy feeding our community so much, “ said Jeana Linn-Miller, Goldie's Grill co-owner. “Not even the devising tornado can keep us down. We cannot wait to see all your smiling faces once again. “
“We are so excited to partner with Goldie’s Grill at NWACC,” said Diane Boss, NWACC’s food service and event management director. “The opportunity came to host the new restaurant after our team realized we had an open spot for an additional food vendor on campus. We invited them to join us, and they accepted, and we were thrilled.”
“Food brings people together, and, as a college, we strive to create community by encouraging social collisions. Goldie's Grill will help us accomplish that,” said Dr. Dennis C. Rittle, NWACC president. “The crew at Goldie's Grill worked for 16 years at the iconic Susie Q Malt Shop in Rogers, and to have them serve on our campus is an honor. So, we invite everyone to come out and support them by coming to 'your' community college campus and enjoying their delicious food.”
Goldie's Grill will serve burgers, pork, chicken, fries, hotdogs, burritos, ice cream, shakes, floats, and limeades.
The restaurant will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 3 PM and Fridays from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Student Center Food Court in Bentonville, the heart of campus.
