NWACC Names Alex Vasquez as New Chief of Staff & Executive Director of Government and Public Relations
NorthWest Arkansas Community College announced Alex Vasquez as the new Chief of Staff and Executive Director of Government and Public Relations, effective October 28.
Vasquez will oversee the Office of the President's administrative, operational, and budgetary functions, manage Public Relations and Government affairs, and serve as the official college spokesperson.
“Alex is no stranger to NWACC, and his passion for our community college can be seen through his efforts through the years," said Dr Dennis C. Rittle, NWACC president. “His rich experience in the private, government and corporate law sectors will help NWACC continue holistically serving our students and community. We are thrilled to have Alex join our cabinet leadership team.”

Vasquez previously worked at Walmart for 16 years as legal counsel for the Fortune 500 company. He has worked with the college for many years as an NWACC Board of Trustee and, most recently, as a director on the NWACC Foundation Board.
Vazquez received a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Hardin-Simmons University and a Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University.
