The PTA program curriculum is very demanding with many required hours in and outside
of the classroom. It's recommended that you work no more than 20 hours per week.
Once Accepted
You will begin the technical phase of the hybrid PTA program curriculum in January of each year. Following completion of the spring courses, you will then attend summer, fall, spring and summer semesters. The second summer semester consists of full-time clinical internships.
Clinicals
Clinical placement will be subject to a criminal background check, drug screening
and other clinical facility policies. You may be required to go to health care institutions
outside of Northwest Arkansas for clinical internships at your expense.
Service Learning
In addition to your coursework, you must complete 20 hours of service learning for regional non-profit agencies by the end of your last spring semester.
