NWACC Invites Community to Free Fall Concert & Recital Series

NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) Music Department invites the community to come out and support its exciting 2024 fall concert and recital series.

The season will kick off with a performance from the Ozark Mt. British Brass Band (OMBBB) on Sunday, Oct. 13.

“The Ozark Mountain British Brass Band is a community brass orchestra that consists of volunteers around NWA, many of whom were students at NWACC,” said Freda Goodman, NWACC’s music faculty coordinator.

The season will also be full of faculty and student performances:

  • Faculty Recital, Oct 22, 0224, 7 PM
  • Student Recital, Nov 14, 2024, 7 PM
  • Jazz Band Concert, Nov 20, 2024,7 PM
  • Orchestra Concert, Nov 22, 2024, 7 PM 
  • Chamber Singers’ Concert, Dec 5, 2024, 7 PM

“The purpose of the events is to expose the public to what our NWACC Music Department offers,” said Goodman.” We offer courses from top-rated faculty and musical performers, some of whom have lived and performed in different countries for years before coming to our college.”

All recitals and concerts will be held at NWACC’s Shewmaker Center for Workforce Technologies in the Walmart Auditorium B102.

Tickets are not required. All performances are free and open to the public.
