Once you've completed your certified nursing assistant (CNA) training and passed your certification exam, you can begin your career in providing hands-on personal care to patients in need. 

As a CNA, there are different settings in which you can work, and as you gain more experience, more job opportunities will open up as well.

The most common areas of work for a CNA are the following:

• Assisted living facilities and nursing homes
• Aide agencies for home health
• Skilled nursing facilities
• Local hospitals

As a high-demand and fast growing occupation, CNAs experience plenty of work, good pay, and the opportunity to eventually move up in the nursing field.
